Khana Khazana originally came to be in 2000 as an idea of two enterprising young Indians wishing to fill a void in the high-end Indian takeaway market.
The name roughly translates from Hindi as ‘the treasure of food.’ Our recipes were originally prepared by our Head Chef who previously worked in the five-star Taj restaurant in India. Since our inception our menu has grown dramatically – but there has always been an emphasis for each curry to have an original and individual feel.
Our spices are authentically imported from India and we try our best to source locally grown New Zealand products for our curries. All our ingredients are prepared fresh daily and our layout gives you the opportunity to watch as we prepare your order in plain-view whilst you wait.
